Call For Speakers, Presenters, Volunteers, and Performers The Children of the New Earth team is looking for youth and adults to be speakers or performers at our Children of the New Earth Conferences. One hallmark of a Children of the New Earth conference is our Saturday night kid's performance where young people of all ages show off their skills and talents. Only youth may apply to perform. All preparations for the performance take place during the day Saturday with facilitators to help organize it. Youthful humans are also encouraged to apply to present sessions, workshops, and keynote speeches. What’s our vision of an ideal speaker? Youth: We define the word “kid” broadly – very young to not-so-young (in chronological years), but someone who is open to sharing their inspiring stories and knowledge with our audience. We are looking for someone who has created a project that has made other people take notice and say: “Wow — what an amazing thing to do!” The possibilities for our ideal speaker are endless. We are limited only by our imagination. Do you know that special person we are looking for? Don’t wait! Call them! Email them! Post on their Facebook wall! Adult: Adult presenters will have a message for parents, educators, mental health professionals, juvenile justice workers, or child care givers that will change and grow their perceptions of who children are and how to relate to them. We favor a majority of local presenters so that our conference also creates a local network of support for children long after the closing ceremony. So if your knowledge and experience can help others to take off the labels and see children as whole, complete and amazing, AND offer ways to work with and help our youth then please apply today.
